Take a look at this fantastic new way to “see” art. Can you figure out which pie chart is your favorite Van Gogh painting?
I would guess that Sunflowers is the bottom row second from the left. What do you think? What a fun way to learn more about color and ratio. Share your guesses and thoughts too.

I love The Starry Night, and thought it might be second row, second from left, but looking at the painting on MOMA’s site I realized that the big slice of rich blue in the pie is the visual memory I have of that painting, and perhaps it’s more likely represented by the top left pie. Made we want to go back to Arles, where there are signs around town locating where Van Gogh set up his easel to make several of his works. Thanks for this treat!
After looking at a few of Van Gogh’s paintings I cannot decide what to think. This can be a hard task to do on the computer. A trip to Arles might just be in order. Thanks for the tip on The Starry Night. I will explore further.
